A multipotentialite is a person who has many different interests and creative pursuits in life.

All my life I learned I should specialise in something.
Starting with my family and the education system telling me, I should pick a job or studies. Preferably something that suits me. I never liked school and I’m a classic autodidact. Also when it came to the job thing I could never settle on anything. Every time I tried to settle, I came to the point where something else interested me more. This led to a lot of confusion and devastation, yes, even to a lot of ‘wasted’ money.
When I was 17 I realised I wanted to create passive income sources online, work on my own terms and change the world for the better in the process. So I started blogging.
Turns out, when you blog you need to find a niche. A field you specialise in. And even worse! You have to stick to it! FOREVER.
I can’t tell you how many blogs I had over the years. How many project pages. All separate. And to some extent I still do. Mainly because some things you simply can’t put into the same basket.
It was tedious and it made me feel miserable. Why could I not just stick to something?
In October 2016 I found out, that I am a Multipotentialite. And that there is nothing wrong with me. Quite the opposite.
You can find a brief introduction to Multipotentialites on Wikipedia:
Multipotentiality refers to an individual whose interests span multiple fields or areas, rather than being strong in just one. Such traits are called multipotentialities, while “multipotentialites” has been suggested as a name for those with this trait.
By contrast, those whose interests lie mostly within a single field are called “specialists.”
It was this video, that changed it all for me. And it was this video, that made me create this website in order to create a playground for myself and my multipotentiality.
I’ve finally started defining what I stand for again, instead of scattering myself all over the internet, buying a new domain every two months.
